NCSC Annual Review 2018-2022

INVOLVEMENT DOCUMENT DESIGN / DOCUMENT IDENTITY / ILLUSTRATION / ART DIRECTION / PROJECT LEAD

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) help to make the UK the safest place to live and work online, so the organisations Annual Review documents deliver key operational insight from throughout the year.

The task for NCSC’s 2018 Annual Review, and the few years’ that followed, was to visually portray a cyber threat as something physical and recognisable to the audience. What better way to do this than to create an evolving ‘bug’ character, composed of tech parts. This visual, combined with an evolving stylistic theme for the internal content pages, and functional typography hierarchies, made for clear and easily digestible articles, data sets and infographics.
